A lock gate on Kiel Canal voyage

Monday morning around 5 a.m., an approx. 120 meters towing unit consisting of the two tugs “Kiel” and “Holtenau” as well a lock gate left Brunsbuettel on route to Kiel.  Also on board were four men of Sartori & Berger’s runner crew. They accompanied the unit on the approx.100 km long route and were especially responsible for mooring and unmooring in the locks. The voyage ended around 8 p.m. and thus also the working day. Mooring in Kiel.
