What does a shipping clerk actually do?
As a shipping clerk, the whole world is open to you. the whole world is open to you. Around 80 percent of global goods traffic are handled by ship. How does the training work?
At which location would you like to learn: Kiel, Hamburg, Rostock or Brunsbüttel? Brunsbüttel? Once you have made your choice, you will gradually work your way through departments, learn and lend a hand. We give you responsibility. Right from the start! Your first stop: the Kiel Canal.
That means shift work. Alternating within the week. Your contact with colleagues is close. The shifts are intensive and bring you closer together. Friendships are forged here that last.
The first few weeks in particular will demand a lot from you. But if you persevere, you will be richly rewarded. With one of the most varied apprenticeships in the most beautiful industry in the world!
What are my prospects?
Cruise, cargo, ferry, customs, P&I, port and canal: We train you a real all-rounder. So the whole world is open to your whole world is open to you. But of course the best thing would be if you decide to stay on board with us!
